Chimney liners serves to contain the heat, creosote, smoke, and carbon monoxide produced by the fireplace when in use. As these byproducts are produced, the chimney liner encourages them to exit the chimney and keeps them from seeping through the masonry and back into the home. Over time, creosote, water, and even animals can cause serious damage to the chimney liner, putting your family at risk.<\/p>\n

Chimney\u00a0lining\u00a0is a critical element in the safe and efficient operation of every household chimney. Many houses from before\u00a0the 1940’s did not have\u00a0chimny liners, and as a result, house fires were much\u00a0more common. Chimney liners provide extra protection to to surrounding combustables, such as woodwork, from heat transfer.<\/p>\n
